Conference Prep: This volunteer job might include collating papers, helping construct practice drums for the conference and any other last minute details that are needed the week before the conference.
Conference Registration / Info Central: This volunteer job will include checking participants in to the conference, handing out conference packets, collecting waivers, making new nametags and collecting registration fees in the Plaza.
Load Out Helper: This volunteer job might include any last minute shipping needs from the marketplace and any other things that need to be cleaned up on the last day of conference.
Monitor - Summer Taiko Institute, Leadership & Community Dialogue, Workshop Session, and Discussion Session: This job will involve checking participants into sessions, assisting session leaders if they need a runner, passing out and collecting participant evaluations, and general assistance to session assigned. If assigned to a workshop, control of admittance of Observers depending on physical space in workshop facility.
Monitor - Taiko Marketplace: This volunteer job will include checking of nametags at the door to make sure everyone who is entering the marketplace is a registered participant. This may also include providing assistance if any of the marketplace vendors need immediate help.
Morning Taiko Jam Helper: This volunteer job includes moving drums for the Sunday morning Taiko Jam.
Taiko Drum Logistics: Assist the Equipment Coordinator with moving drums and equipment from location to location.
Taiko 10 Community Concert Helper: Assist the Taiko 10 Coordinator with any duties relating to the concert that he might need assistance with including moving drums.
Photographer: Photographs certain aspects of the conference (the locations and timing will be discussed with Lesley, the conference director prior to the conference). Photographs will either be uploaded at the end of each day or shift depending on when the assignment ends and owning your own digital camera is preferred.
Videographer: Video records certain aspects of the conference (the locations and timing will be discussed with Lesley, the conference director prior to the conference). Videos will be dropped off at the end of each day or session depending on when the assignment ends, and can be picked up at the end of the conference. Owning your own video camera is preferred but not required!
Youth Jam Helper: Set up and clean up the Youth Jam on Friday night.
