In just TWO WEEKS, Little Tokyo will be filled with taiko players for the conference!

– Discussion Sessions: Still can’t get enough Taiko? Come join our expert panelists on Aug 8, 12:45PM, in a series of informal discussion sessions that will cover a wide range of topics regarding taiko. Discussion session descriptions have been updated, so check out the Discussion Sessions page!

– Welcome Reception: Thank you to those who have been sending donations to the Welcome Reception Fund through PayPal and checks! If you would like to contribute, please visit the Welcome Reception page!

– REMINDER: Online Registration cut-off date is JULY 24! If you have not registered yet and want to attend the conference, sign up today! After that, you will only be able to pay on the day of the event, on site (at the JACCC).

– Equipment! If you are interested in lending taiko to the Taiko Conference, please contact Jason Osajima (josajima@gmail.com). The conference workshops and performances would not be possible without the generous groups lending us their taiko!

– Discussion Session descriptions are up! Come check out the details of this year’s discussion sessions! Click here! Which one will you attend??

– Volunteers! Yes, we still need you!! You can volunteer even if you are taking workshops! There’s lots to do behind the scene and we need your help! Sign up here!

– TAIKO JAM ‘09 - Have you gotten your tickets yet? Remember, if you can get a group of 10 or more, you can get the group price! Check out all the info and tickets here! You can also view the promo video here!

– DEADLINE TO PAY for registration online is July 24th! After that, you will only be able to pay on the day of the event, on site (at the JACCC).

– LAST CALL FOR ADS!! - If you would like to place an ad in the Taiko Conference Program Booklet, please email taikoconference09@jaccc.org by Tuesday, July 14th.

– WELCOME RECEPTION - Location is set! The Southern California taiko community will be welcoming the conference participants at Centenary Church in Little Tokyo on Thursday, August 6th at 6:30pm! SoCal Taiko players, please start thinking about what you will be bringing to the reception! More details coming soon!

– DISCUSSION SESSIONS - Discussion topics have been confirmed! Check here!!!

– VOLUNTEERS - We still need you! Check out the volunteer page and contact tnguyen@jaccc.org.
